seek north kOMBUCHA

Many people around the world drink kombucha for its health properties alone- you may be surprised to discover that something so healthy can also be so delicious!

Some kombucha brands try to minimize the post-fermentation vinegar flavor by adding lots of sweetness and other artificial flavors. Seek North Provisions, on the other hand, seeks to elevate rather than downplay the flavor profiles that make “booch” so unique. To that end, we don't mask the natural kombucha taste with added sugar and flavors, preferring instead to keep our kombucha raw and natural.

It is also worth noting that many brands pasteurize their kombucha, essentially killing off all of the live cultures, which provide some of the best health benefits.  This ultimately defeats the purpose of drinking kombucha for its live probiotic benefits.

That’s the Seek North secret. We don’t pasteurize, dilute or filter our kombucha. Our kombucha is 100% raw with active cultures and is low in sugar.

Alcohol Extracted: Seek North is completely changing the game and challenging the status quo in this area. We use a state of the art technology, a unique Spinning Cone Column (SCC), which separates the alcohol content from the kombucha without affecting the bacterial profile, or adding heat. This way, we are able to keep all of the useful bacteria and nutrients in tact, and remove alcohol effectively. In fact, this removes it so effectively that Seek North produces the one of the only product lines that is essentially alcohol free (.1-.5% alcohol). We are one of an extremely few kombucha companies that actually uses this alcohol separation technology, nationwide.

  • Spinning Cone Column

  • Verified alcohol extracted

  • Under .5 % alcohol

We aim to produce the best quality kombucha.
This means our booch is 100% certified organic, local, raw, undiluted, zero-additives, and 100% natural.

What is kombucha?

Kombucha is a delicious fermented tea beverage that is chock-full of goodness for your gut.  Fondly referred to as “booch” by its loyal fans, this increasingly popular drink is low in sugar content, and every sip is packed with naturally occurring probiotics, antioxidants, vitamins, enzymes, and amino acids.  A living, nutrient-rich drink, “booch” is produced by adding a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) to a tea solution with sugar.

During the fermentation process, the cultures metabolize most of the sugar and caffeine, rendering some of the less healthy elements of conventional tea into a naturally carbonated beverage full of healthy essentials like B vitamins, organic acids, and antioxidants. This natural fermentation process produces the unique taste that kombucha fans instantly love. While there is a wide range of complex and nuanced flavors, there is something distinctive and immediately recognizable about taking a sip of kombucha.

How is kombucha made?

Kombucha is a raw, fermented tea and we brew it the traditional, time-tested way, using nothing but tea, water, sugar, and a mother SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast). The tea concoction ferments for a period of time, resulting in a deliciously refreshing and nutrient-dense beverage.

why drink kombucha?

Kombucha’s high probiotic content sets it apart from any other tea beverage in terms of total health benefits. Probiotics repopulate and help to strengthen beneficial bacteria in the digestive system. Thanks to these byproducts of the fermentation process, drinking “booch” increases the biodiversity of healthy bacteria in your body.

Thanks to the electrolytes, potassium, B12 vitamins, and the residual sugar and caffeine remaining after the fermentation process, kombucha provides a refreshing boost when you need a little extra kick and hydration!

We focus on keeping our process local and sustainable, which is why our “booch” is brewed and hand-crafted in Upstate New York.

We exclusively use natural and raw ingredients, ensuring that every one of our bottles yields the healthiest kombucha.
